The client requested that an acoustic assessment be performed to help alleviate loud noise levels within the living spaces of a home. The excess noise was generated primarily due to hard surfaces reflecting sound instead of absorbing it. The reflected sound would build up within the spaces, increasing the sound level. The excess noise made communication within the home difficult.

An RT60 test was performed to determine the reverberation time of the spaces. Based on the measurements the amount of absorbtion material necessary to absorb the excess sound was calculated. The findings were compiled into a report and presented to the client.
